I've always had an affinity for other places. My constant desire to escape and explore somewhere new led to some resentment for the country I was from. But as I got older, as I traveled the world more, and as I also explored the vastness of the US, I began to appreciate its beauty and also, of course, the fact that it always feels like home to visit friends and family in sunny Southern California.
